Summer Shoe Picks

For the past two summers I lived in a pair of white canvas Tommy Hilfiger lace up espadrilles. This season I had to face a harsh reality, #1- My favorite Tommy Hilfiger sandals were no longer white and were showing some serious age. #2- There were many new and updated styles out there that I needed to start exploring. You know what they say... "Out with the old and in with the new"... better get shopping!

Here is a list of my top ten favorite shoes and trends for this summer. Hopefully it will help you find some hot kicks for what is sure to be a hot summer!

1- Gladiators have officially taken the throne as Hottest Summer Shoe Style as voted for by, well, me! The Jessica Simpson Caralie sandal in black patent, square toe and goldtone jewels is perfect for a night out while the Madden Girl Sicily in brown leather is casual and perfect for everyday!

2- Tommy Hilfiger's Sabrina is the updated and improved version of my tried and true, since retired white espadrilles. These wedge sandals have a simple ankle tie and are available in brown, plaid and stripe.

3- The Rampage Irena shoe is perfect for the office or a dinner party! The open toe low wedge slingback sandal is chic and sophisticated with any summer dress, pant suit or dress shorts.

4- I don't care what anyone says... thong sandals a.k.a. flip flops are here to stay especially when they are just so darn cute! Here are just a few of my favorites...

5- UnionBay-Fawn seersucker flats with bow and scalloped trim. Shoes just couldn't be cuter. Pair them with a pretty sun dress.If you're afraid you've just got too much cutesy going on... which is very possible, try khaki Bermudas and a solid fitted tee.

6- The feminine kitten heel and pretty ring detail on the straps make the Madeline by Mia a great versatile sandle for the summer. Choose blue or brown, they go with almost everything in your closet!

7- I love, love, love the Adesina jellies by Bandolino! In fact I love them so much I got the pink ones for my mom for Mother's Day. They are fun like the jellies we remember, but stylish enough for any woman to step out in all summer long. The perfect sandal for the beach, the mall... anywhere!

8- Here comes another fun one... the Mia- Ship Shape sandal has sassy written all over them! Choose from Yellow/White or Black/White and you know you are in for an adventure everytime you slip them on. Whether you are poolside or out for a night of dancing, you will get noticed in these 4" knock outs.

9- Bandolino's Ibigail is one of my favorite staple shoes for the summer. The cork wedge is perfect for wearing all day long. The patent leather strap and heel accent adds that extra touch of style and class.

10- Let's finish this list with a bang! The Bandolino Paradisa is a gorgeous shoe for a sultry summer night. The fashion jewel accents, t-strap, and rich colors in dark natural and dark brown make these dramatic and beautiful summer sandals.
